The Zombies... Are Coming...
Title: The Zombies are Coming (1/?)
Characters: Ryeowook, Sungmin, the rest will appear in the future
Pairings: not elaborated on much... but there will be mentions
Rating: PG
Genre: Fantasy, Horror, Adventure, AU
Summary:It was just supposed to be another summer day at SooMan University. Zombies didn't exist. At least, that was what Kim Ryeowook and the other students used to believe, until a zombie apocalypse hit the school, affecting everyone they've ever known.
Notes: This was orginally a friend's story for her Creative Writing class. She didn't like it so she dumped it to me... incomplete. After Chapter 2, I have no idea what to do... for now...
Disclaimer: I DON'T own Super Junior. If I did, I would have Wookie tied to my bed. I cannot believe I just typed that.

The air did not seem to be enough for the entire classroom. The mere act of breathing was already too much of a challenge. I felt my lungs struggling to keep up with the humid, uncomfortable and disconcerting summer air. Time seemed to pass slower than usual. One hour and thirty minutes felt like fragments of forever.
What was my class again?
Oh, right. Math. It was the most horrible and ego-shattering subject ever invented. Before Math, I thought I was smart. But unfortunately, it was not the case. This is the subject that made me feel like a mentally-challenged loser.
I despise it. Well, too bad for me, it hates me back.
I suppose it would not help to think about how much I dislike math during class. It will not get me that very much-desired A that I have always wanted. I was about to go back to trying to listen to Mr. Kangta drone on about Permutations, if not for the voice to my right.
“Wookie… I’m hungry… Let’s go out to eat…”
I looked to my right and saw my best friend Sungmin sleeping with his head on his opened math book and drool was hitting the pages.
“Kim Ryeowook! If you don’t feed me right now, I swear I’m karate-chopping you…” Sungmin’s voice slurred as he threatened me in his sleep.
Ugh, he could afford to fall asleep and still pass. After all, he was dating our group’s resident math-geek, Cho Kyuhyun.
“Kyu… There… Right there… RIGHT THERE, KYU! More… ” Sungmin moaned as I listened to him in horror.
I blushed and prayed that no one else heard Sungmin’s dreams, more like fantasies about Kyuhyun, so I poked him awake. He glared at me until I pointed out the drool that came out of his mouth. He wiped off the drool before he sat up and listened to Mr. Kangta.
“I’ll get you for this, Wookie…” he grumbled as he took down notes.
“Min, you were having less than wholesome dreams about Kyuhyun, and your moaning was getting too loud.” I deadpanned.
“You should be thanking me.” I added. “You owe me, Lee Sungmin.”
This class is too boring to be true. I looked out the window. I wish I were somewhere else right now, probably with my band, rehearsing for the end of the summer festival. I looked at the floor and saw my keyboard. Oh, God. I've never found it so damn alluring. It was as if it were seducing me to grasp it at that moment and walk away with it.
Now, this is what Math does to you--you develop sexual relations with... pianos. Gross.
I checked my watch. One hour more. This is such a drag.
I heard a long scream from outside the classroom. Everyone fell silent. Some people stood up in order to check it out. I was not interested at all. Someone just probably spilled orange juice on her shirt.
Oh, how I wish I was right.
But in Math class, I am never right.
I saw my classmate Yunho who was by the door coming back inside the classroom, stained with blood all over his face. He was trying to wipe it dry as the rest of the class tried to help him.
Then, in just a few seconds, he looked up at the rest of the class and started assaulting my classmates. He jumped and bit one of my other classmates precisely on the neck, biting and bleeding as he goes. Everyone immediately panicked. They ran around without direction in the classroom. Only Sungmin and I have remained in our seats.
I stood up and grabbed my keyboard while Sungmin got into a fighting stance.
"Just like in the movies."
I kept calm, despite my trembling body, quivering lips, and wide eyes. Deep inside, I wanted to scream my lungs out and hide behind Sungmin. What in the world is happening? This is not supposed to be real. A zombie apocalypse? Right here? In school? It was not something I could ever believe in.
“Are we going to have to fight it?” I asked, my voice as jittery as I felt.
"No." Sungmin laughed. "You don't fight zombies until you absolutely have to. This is not a game. Killing more of them will not give you more money or experience points. We have to escape. Come."
He climbed out the window before helping me down and we were safely able to escape the room. Good thing our classroom was in the first floor, so there was no hassle of getting out. We were now in the back of Chu Wing, leading towards the covered courts.
"Do you think there's more of them?" I asked.
"Yes. These things never come alone. Walk slowly. Never enter blind corners without any caution. Hmm, I wonder where to go."
We were hiding in the bushes by the path going to the covered courts. Everyone in the school seemed to be running around like mad, tormenting their ears with their own screams.
"We need to find a safe place." I told him. "The Gee cafeteria has enough supplies to last us for a while, but unfortunately, with its countless windows and entrances, it will never be an easy place to defend. They would eat us before we eat anything."
Sungmin thought for a moment. "Bonamana cafeteria is a good place to hide. It has a small entrance, easy to defend. It also harbors enough supplies, and it is not an easy place to access."
"That is an idea, and it is not too far away either."
Yes.
I felt so cool.
But I was not, really. I was dead fucking scared. I stood up.
The moment I did, a boy with crimson eyes attempted to grab me. I ducked and hit him on the head with my keyboard. He was still alive and screaming incomprehensible words. I did not spare any time to understand, I thrust against his skull immediately in order to silence him.
"Wow," Sungmin walked up next to me. "Who are you and what did you to my best friend?"
"Well, I've had my share of these things. Playing video games with Kyuhyun does this to you. You should know…”
He had nothing to say, so he just blushed in that cute way which was totally unnecessary at a time like this.
"Bonamana cafeteria, right?” He asked once he was done daydreaming about Kyuhyun. “That's our place. Let's stay there until we could think of a decent plan."
"Let's go."
